Ruth Franklin
Healing You, Head to Toe
Ruth became passionate about acupuncture and alternative medicine, while working as an ICU nurse. Dealing with very sick patients and with extensive medication lists, made her believe that there are better ways to prevent illness and promote wellness.
Ruth is registered in New Jersey and is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She attended a three year program at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ, graduating in 2006.

Ruth is Level II Reiki certified

Ruth also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania, in 1996.

She is very passionate about patient care and enjoys working with her patients. She runs a very comfortable and laid back practice, where the patient comes first. Having a background in both eastern and western medicine, helps Ruth to understand medical problems from both perspectives. Each treatment is tailored to the patient.

Ruth practices Japanese acupuncture. This is a very gentle form of acupuncture, with importance given to a palpation exam, using distal points for treatment, and treating front and back in order to balance the patient.

Many medical conditions can be treated with acupuncture. Ruth predominantly treats pain conditions, but she enjoys working with various medical conditions.
